Also, review the program, contents, schedule and all the generalities for this course, and also the attached files which shapes the conditions for the formats of your TASKS and DRILLS.

Communicative Competence VI
This component intends to consolidate the communicative competence (linguistic, sociolinguistic, and pragmatic) as integrating element of prospective English teachers’ practice. To consolidate cognitive and metacognitive learning strategies in the English language from a systematic and rigorous exercise of academic writing and preparation for international proficiency and competence tests from a critical-pedagogical dimension.
[Students] builds the notion of what is good, beginning a critical reflection, from educational and pedagogical frames of reference, in relation to specific contents and knowledge, and guided toward human well-being and life guidance.
[Student] understands the language as a meaning system, cognitive tool, and cohesion and social interaction instrument from an intercultural perspective.
Learning Purposes

Deduct the conceptual and organizational structure of academic texts

Reason reflectively and critically about language teaching issues through specialized academic texts.

Evaluate ethical aspects involving academic writing.

Explain different strategies to take proficiency and competence tests.

Interpret how to use the best metacognitive strategies when taking proficiency and competence tests.
Teaching Methods for teachers
The course, in its on-site modality, will combine theoretical/expository lessons, seminars, and practical lessons geared toward problem solving, cooperative learning and project work. Students’ autonomous work will focus on the promotion of group work spaces that continue the proposals from the seminars and practical sessions.
